Mindful art
with me, Artist-in-Residence at Kingley Vale
Benefits
Physical and mental benefit of walking in nature and sketching
Re-connect with the natural world
Slow the pace of life
Enjoy the present moment
Calm the mind and body
Totally immersive experience
Record the moment with art
If people connect with nature they are more likely to take care of it and re-visit it.
The aim of the day
To totally immerse yourself in your surroundings, clear the mind of clutter and anxiety and enjoy the moment. Slow down, connect with nature and enjoy the creativity of sketching. You don't need any previous experience or skill just a willingness to create freely. The combination of walking and sketching is a natural way to practice mindfulness.
